Konkatsu Explained, this time by Hiroko

Remeber our post on the term 婚活 (konkatsu)

Konkatsu is derived from Kekkon Katsudou

The very charismatic Hiroko has explained 婚活, and a new term… 離活!!!

I think if you read the 婚活 post and know other marriage-related vocabulary you can guess what 離活 is all about… Think about if for a minute before watching the video and see if you got it right. This is called building your Kanji intuition!

Hiroko’s videos are quality. Check out Hiroko’s YouTube channel if you haven’t already! You can also follow Hiroko on Twitter. As I post this she’s standing outside in the super-A.M. in Japan covering the long line of people waiting for Final Fantasy 13… Wish I was there!!!

Related vocabulary:
就活 (shukatsu – job hunting)
結婚 (kekkon – marriage)
婚活 (konkatsu – marriage… activities)
離婚 (rikon – divorce)
離活 (rikatsu – divorce… activities)

Hope you enjoyed it, and learned something too!
