Airlines sometimes get different versions, as well..edited for content, length etc. Perhaps because it was JAL, originating in the states (?) or England, it was assumed a Japanese language movie would have to have English subtitles?...Amazing movie! Samurai DVD has it with English subtitles.. Samurai DVD

Sometimes movies get subtitles so they can be considered for film festivals. Perhaps it was never picked up for overseas distribution?

You all nailed it! Thanks so much! It is indeed Kita no Zeronen. Now can someone tell me why, if JAL had it available with English subs, it is not and to my knowledge never has been available with them?
