I think that everything is a matter of big expectations of what life gave you and what you believe you deserve. This man was enough lucky for a period of time dealing with real problems and also sharing his mess with supporting people. I'm not sure about your case Harvey but, been an immigrant myself (in Europe) and talking to other people who leaped aboard to change their lives in one way or another is almost the same reply... "when we decide to GO, there's no place in our minds to come back, it's not about money or dignity, it's about going further and further until we're no longer the same in the mirror"...
