English is so character-heavy in comparison. So I usually spend quite a bit of time economizing my translations so that they actually fit. Sometimes it’s a real struggle to fit both a 31-syllable waka and an English translation into the 140-character maximum. English is so character-heavy in comparison. So I usually spend quite a bit of time economizing my translations so that they actually fit.

This will actually be some good motivation to stick to a more or less daily schedule of updating — which, as I’m sure you noticed, has hardly been the case over the past few months!
