Harvey - The article would have been presented a lot better if you took it lightly and wrote it with a purpose of sharing your observations and not as a way to invite readers to do what the world would like them to do. I may have to agree then with Deas -- it would have probably been a lot better if you did not include this: "Don’t disappoint the world! Get out and vote."

But of course, that is what blogs are all about, right? Write whatever you have in mind and let the world know what you're thinking of. In this light, I may have to respect your point of view.

In light of the election results, I'm laughing at the posts your blog says are 'potentially related':

Dangerous Games

Harvey - I never make choices this important based on what other people's preferences are. My vote is my chance to have my say in a way that truly counts, not voice what people elsewhere would like more. You know? I am not obligated to vote for someone because the world wants me to - that's just weird thinking to me. Vote because you're convinced that your candidate is the right person for the job and because you prefer them over the opposition. You know?

I've voted for third parties in the past. Not this election though... Not this time... America's reputation has too much riding on the outcome to mess around.

From what I've seen on Japanese TV, there's been very little coverage of McCain and zero coverage of third party candidates so it's not surprising most Japanese are for Obama.

If I were American, I would vote for a third party, and I think it's a shame those candidates aren't allowed to participate in the debates and let the people hear what they have to say.
