Ramenz FootSteps Pantomime

Posted on 05. Oct, 2008 @ 9:40 am by harvey in Humor, Media

Here’s a routine by Ramenz (ラーメンズ) that a Japanese friend was passing around on Facebook.

I think the “frog balloon bit” is especially Japanese. Let me know if you know what I’m talking about and agree.

Other Ramenz videos have also been posted on JapanNewbie before, including the super-famous Japanese Culture bit on Sushi.

Good stuff.

Oh, man…that was more wit than I expected out of the Japanese. After that I had to watch as much of the series as I could find.

I think I got most the obvious gags, which ones were funny because they were true and which were funny because they were absurd, but…as a newbie gaijin I wonder how many of them might have gone completely over my head. I should take it all with a grain of salt for at least as long as I can still claim ignorance.
