Unlucky Ferris Wheel

There is a ferris wheel attached to the HEP Five building near Umeda station in Osaka.

In the area, Japanese say that if you ride this ferris wheel with your significant other, you’ll break up.

Be careful.

I’m kinda reaching out to anyone that will help, I am starting to get curious about teaching English in japan and wanted some help and advice. I hope you might help me since you have already started your journey.

Funnily enough I rode this with a girl I’d been dating for a while. We broke up a few days later.

It wasn’t until the next week that my friends told me about this rumor :(

    Wow Tres… Geesh.

It’s uh… cool that uh… the rumor is uh… true?

Sorry that it ended up messing up your relationship though!

    Let’s dismantle the ferris wheel!

Maybe it’s the rumor rather than the ride doing the damage. If a guy took me for a spin on a world-reknowned (now that Harvey has blogged about it) Wheel of Doomed Relationships, I’d assume he wanted to break up with me, so I’d dump *him* ASAP.

I rode this ferris wheel in September 2006 with my gf. Now, we are married for almost one year. It seems, that my gf and me are immune against this rumor ;)
