Shibuya Shot

July 5, 2008 on 9:27 am | In Tokyo | | Email This Post

Just a shot I took in Shibuya. I kinda like it.

Just to point out some cultural tidbits.

In the upper left you can see an advertisement for “Winter Song” or , Fuyu no Sonata.

In the upper right is an advertisement for Docomo, the phone company.

The orange sign is a sign for Yoshinoya, the famous beef-bowl (gyuudon) chain.

That’s about it.

Oh - Shibuya! Crazy place.

Just to be pedantic, it’s usually just Winter Sonata, and it’s not actually for the film/TV series, but for the Pachinko game themed around Winter Sonata, judging by the fact that it’s on a Pachinko shop, and I can see a “2″ at the right, as version 2 of the FuyuSona machine has just been released.

No, I don’t play, I just watch too much telly!

That car is a Toyota MR-S in Japan or an MR-2 Spyder in the US.

    Neat little car.

I was wondering what a movie and pachinko game had to do with each other. :)
