For those who don't like their work, working overtime is extremely unhealthy and dangerous. Guess what is a major contribution to Japan's high suicide rates? Right.

Kayo! 健康第一！

I guess Japanese love their country so they work very hard in order to improve the Japanese economy...

...

Or maybe they're not thinking that far...

...

Maybe going home earlier, and having time to raise families would help the economy more? By fixing 少子化？ I'm not sure.

For people who really really love work, working 11 hour days isn't such a crazy problem I guess. But for those who don't... that's just nuts!

It's a sad story, really. I have some kinds of sympathy for him. Now I'm working until the last train and I don't sometimes know why I'm working so hard. But my colleagues are working after the last train and take a taxi to go home. It's not an unusual thing in Japan, actually. I once asked whether they liked their jobs and they said no, but they have families and if they threw their jobs away, the others would have lots of trouble so they think they have to managed to work.
