MADE just means "until" in Japanese. Many people have memorized the proverb with the MADE now. However, it still stands that in this Doraemon episode it is shown without the MADE, and even my dictionary, which has Kenkyusha in it has the proverb listed without the MADE. Times change. I wouldn't be surprised though if various permutations of the kotowaza have been memorized by people over time. But, can't argue with Doraemon!
