Engrish Tshirt in Umeda

Posted on 26. Feb, 2008 @ 11:43 pm by harvey in Crazy Consumers, Humor, Osaka

Wow.

Right across from the Kinokuniya bookstore in Umeda. I saw this about a month ago and am finally getting around to posting it.

Hopefully the shirt is still available for those who want to go buy it…

That’s an AEON motivational shirt, isn’t it? “Teach more hardest!!!” They hand them out at the regional workshops.

Where the heck does one find this King of Sponge in Tokyo? I’ve been searching for months now and no such luck. Is it written in Katakana? What color is the packaging? Any info would be muchhhh appreciated. Thank you.

Hey lisa, I tried to find King Sponge to give to Kitty, but could never find it! I was searching in Yokohama. I don’t think it exists anymore in Japan_!_!

But wait. Why do you know king sponge lisa? Did you use it somewhere else as well?

Hi Harvey! Thanks for the response. I’m assuming King of Sponge are those white blocks of ???? Mr.Clean has a similar product in the US but someone mentioned King of Sponge rocks so I’ve been searching and searching for this miracle cleaning product to make my life a little easier. King of Sponge could be a totally different product. I did find the Mr.Clean type sponge at the 100 yen shops but they are made in Germany.

Wow, those are some pretty extreme, pent up frustrations manifesting as over-generalizations there, AJ.

I won’t defend any Japanese who are racist (towards people of any ethnic background), but I wouldn’t label the entire country as bigots.

AJ, more likely they were scared off by your frustration and anger. I’ve noticed that many Japanese women are very sensitive. They can pretty much tell if someone is an angry/aggressive person and will avoid them. I’ve met several African (Cameroon, Nigeria) men married to Japanese women so…

Mixed race couples are increasing, so I guess by your logic the Gods don’t believe in retribution. Perhaps this is a sign from above to channel your energy towards more positive pursuits?

Thanks to the Cablinasian Tiger Woods, there is enough justification for black/asian marriages that the number will never, ever drop down to zero as you desire.
