Takoyaki with green onions
October 27, 2007 on 6:46 pm | In Food, Osaka, Snack-ish | | Email This PostTakoyaki with green onions!
There is this shop in Umeda that specializes in takoyaki. They have like 6 or 7 different types of takoyaki on the menu. My favorite is the negi-takoyaki. Takoyaki with heaps of green onions pilled all over. Heaps of them! (Culture lesson. “Heaps” is Australian for “lots”.)
The takoyaki in the back is yuzu ponzu in case you’re interested.
Yum! I love Osaka

Hey Mayumi,
If you head out the Hankyu exit of Umeda station…
Cross the street so you’re in front of ZARA.
If facing Zara, turn left, so you’re walking down the main street, heading in the general direction of Loft and stuff. It’s the road that heads towards the night bus parking long in case you know.
As you walk down that street, keep your eyes peeled for the takoyaki shop that will be on your right.
They have a window right near the side walk that sells takoyaki for 持ち帰り、so it should be easy to spot. You have to walk on that street a bit away from the station, it’s beyond Kappa Yokochou.
I wish I knew the name off hand or I’d just post the meishi! Lemme see if I can get it…

You should try the ones with ponsu and onions, those are my favourites. I’ve only seen them in Namba so far though.

Haha sorry I just realized they ARE with ponsu. At first I only saw the sauce and I never knew you can get the sauce-ponsu combi.
Gotta try
