As long as the photo was taken in a public place, you haven’t slandered or defamed the person in the picture, and you are not using the picture for business purposes, you’re free to use it as you please.

Of course, no idea if the law is the same in Japan.

When we were in Japan, my GF spent aaages in there at the ones in Kyoto and Shibuya. Ok and I had cool stuff to look at too like the taitskun dudes.

A pity their website is all Japanese.

These days though I’m kinda borderline. For example, what -is- the law on pixelating? How much does it have to be pixelated to be legit? What if it’s a video that you have taken of a famous site, and there are other people standing around in the video?

I wonder what kind of rights the individual has if they catch their photo being used somewhere without their permission… And I wonder how these laws work internationally!

Someone get me a lawyer!
