I visited the Sendai branch of 一風堂 with my girlfriend the other day, and I have to say it’s a bit tastier than what we had in Queen’s East. Still, ramen doesn’t have the same presence up here in Tohoku that it does in Yokohama. When I meet people here and tell them I spent a year in Yokohama, they’ll eventually ask me if I visited the ラーメン博物館. And that just makes me want to cry.

I haven’t even left Japan yet and I already miss ramen. Oh boy.
