Anyone know anything about this Japanese Animation movie, called Paprika? Check out the trailer. It will be shown in theatres in the US in The official Japanese website for Paprika is here.
You may have heard of Perfect Blue, a popular psycho killer anime which can be purchased in the US as well. Paprika is done by the same director, Satoshi Kon, and looks pretty cool. I think I’m going to try to see this one.
Anyone here already seen it? Let me know what you think!

Wow, that trailer was wild! And the synopsis sounds interesting too. I wonder if they’re going to show it subtitled?

I’ve checked that on a Film Festival…

Hi!
In my country it’s not released yet (Poland) so i downloaded it from the net…
(In Paprika, at the end, when Konakawa goes to cinema, you can see posters of Perfect Blue and other his movies
)
I’m just checking your archival posts, and found this
I love this movie. I watched it about five times, twice in full HDTV quality
It’s more similar to Paranoia Agent (tv series, “mousou dairin”) than Perfect Blue. I love all Satoshi Kon’s works, including Tokyo Godfathers and Millenium Actress, but Paprika is the best
