Genghis Khan up to no good

Remember the Genghis Khan restaraunt, Daruma in Sapporo I mentioned oh so long ago?
Asahi Shinbun reports that Daruma has been suspected of tax evasion, for about 10 million yen over three years (about $100,000 dollars).
However, the point is, they suspect this restaraunt is actually run by a North Korean group, and they have been sending their “tax savings” back to North Korea.
Doh.
This Genghis Khan shop is one of the most famous shops in Sapporo, would be a shame if I couldn’t get beef the next time I went up there.
North Korean businesses are fairly prevelant in Japan. It is widely known that more than 70% of the Pachinko parlors are actually run by North Korea connected groups.
You’d think if they cared so much they would just enforce the laws which make gambling illegal in Japan…
