When my great-grandmother died last year, my family found a couple of notes from the Phillipine Occupation. Not know what they where, my mother sent them to me since I live in Japan. I know our previous government / army desired to get more territory that another country already had. And I heard they forced native people to learn Japanese and have Japanese name to adjust to Japanese habits,etc,etc. But even Japanese like me didn't know this fact!! How interesting!
